A Celebration of Life for Mark Stephen Gilbertson

As you may know, our beloved friend and neighbor, Mark Gilbertson, age 70, passed away unexpectedly on August 9, 2024. Throughout his life he walked with the Lord and now he is home with his creator.

A native of Minnesota, Mark graduated from Owatonna High School and attended the University of Minnesota. He began his work in sales and management and retired in 2019 from Enerpac Corporation culminating 44 years of service. In days gone by, Mark was nationally ranked in knee boarding and loved being on the water. He enjoyed kayaking, bowling, pickleball, cars (Nascar, Indy and Formula 1 racing), darts, bocce, music and was a talented and prolific writer.

Mark loved to dance and was good at it! He was a member of the OTOW Active Singles Club and was a friend to everyone he met. He was encouraging and optimistic and always wore a big smile.

He is survived by his mother, Audrey (Quam) Klemmer of Minnesota and his three children: Bryce Gilbertson of Texas, Erin Brose and Eric Gilbertson of Minnesota. He leaves behind his many brothers and sisters, four grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Please join us at the Candler Community Center (behind the Candler Club Restaurant) for an opportunity to meet and speak with Mark’s family. We hope that you will share some stories that will warm their hearts as they travel back to their respective homes.
